The up-side to flunking chemo last week was that by the weekend I was feeling pretty much like my old self again. Craig and I decided to head for the Portland Maine Boatbuilders show and meet up with our Rosborough friends. We sure did have fun!
The show, as always, was great. Rosborough had two boats on display, a boat like ours and their new soft-side RF-246 Rib.
We were also celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the RF-246.
Pete and Sean invited us to use their B&B room to rest in late afternoon, doing me no end of good. Then they returned with Bill and Jean (Compass Rose) and we had a little pre-dinner room party. Tons of fun!! Recalled Bill’s flyover of our Cuttyhunk Rendezvous last summer.
Dinner at DiMillo’s on the water was a great repeat of last year.
Our poor servers couldn’t get us to sit down long enough to get our orders. Food was the last thing on our minds!
Put some boat owners together in the same room with the fellow who builds our boats (Bob Rosborough) plus his loyal Rep. (Peter Brown) and a party is sure to ensue.
How do you like the new Rosborough hat celebrating the 25th Year
The Boatshow trip didn’t seem to set me back a bit. I had a very productive day at the office today – but tomorrow it is Take #2 on Chemo #7. Wish me luck! It sure is going to be hard to resume feeling tired again.
i’m so jealous. wish i had been there… when i saw the banner pic this morning, i thought to myself – hey, i know that guy at the end! of course, i’ve never actually MET pete…. LOL. anyway, i’m glad that you had a nice little break 🙂
