As you can imagine, Retirement (like summer vacation) doesn’t really feel like it kicks in until that Monday morning when you have blissfully nothing whatever to do. But the official start of it all begins with cake. Thanks to Judy and René and Ginny and Tony and Craig who threw together this little retirement party at the end of the last day of work.
(Thanks, Ginny and Tony, for donning the T-shirt head gear so stylishly. It’s a great show of solidarity without having to shave your head! —Beth)
Lovely evening together! Lovely cake. Still don’t feel retired.
Hi Tammi,
So good to read all this good news. I bet you feel a lot better with two pints of “fresh” blood. Now let’s hope the surgery will go well (but why wouldn’t it?) and that you will recover soon (we all best sleep in our own beds).
I bet being at home and not having to go to work is strange, but at this point of time you can use all your energy for the surgery and the time to recover and what a blessing they have found such a good replacement for you. Evenmore reason to recover soon and then go boating, gardening or whatever the two of you like to do.
We’re thinking of you a lot and will certainly be thinking of you and Craig next Wednesday.
Wishing you all the best, Love René and Mary
I like the way you think!
Oh, and that cake looks delicious……………………:-)))) (so much chocolate, yammi)
You have been in my prayers and will continue to be forever as we never can be blessed with too many. I have faith that your surgery and recovery will go well and you’ll soon be back to the vibrant gal with the big smile
Love,
Barb
