Tammi,
How do you manage to be so radiant, even right out of surgery?! I am bursting with joy at the news that no cancer was found! Wow, what an amazing victory. You have truly been proactive in your health care and found so many different ways to bring your body back to health. I am rejoicing tonight, as I know many others are. Give my love to Craig as well. Can’t wait for more happy updates!
Having surgery OVER can make a person pretty happy, especially when the news is good. And, there was cancer there, just none left after surgery. And a lot of the spots she saw appeared to be ‘dead’ cancer cells – my favorite kind! How could I have looked this perky? Beats me but I sure was having a great time, that night after surgery. Everything just seemed to be coming up roses. Sarahjoy had somehow landed this great room all to ourselves, we had a great RN named Peter who participated in our joy – even took pictures of us with SJ’s phone. The room was nice and warm and it was quiet. All things I did not expect from a hospital. I became an instant Fletcher Allen fan. But don’t you love that surgery cap I have on? I wouldn’t let them take it off because it was keeping me so warm and nice. It has quite the bouffant look to it!
i seem to recall a conversation about “no pics!” what happened??? LOL… you look wonderful, girl! you can’t believe how happy we are to hear this GREAT news 🙂 ok, heal up – there’s retirement and the boating season to look forward to!
Yeah…that’s me again. She may disown me, but I thought she looked great! So while she’s all hopped up on the happy drugs, I thought I’d sneak one by. Shhhh, don’t tell, okay?
Want to see me staples? 🙂
Just kidding. I’m no LBJ.
On the other hand, they are pretty interesting looking. Look sort as if I have suddenly gotten into body piercing in a big way!
i want to see! (the staples) LOL…. the hat looks like – remember those hair dryers at the beauty salon long ago? anyway, i’m glad that you weren’t cold 🙂
Tammi you look great! So happy for your two new chapters in your life. The road to good health and a fabulous retirement. Lots of love to you and Craig. We’ll celebrate when you are feeling stronger.
How great it is to see that beautiful smile!!! You’ve had an amazing attitude throughout this whole ordeal. We are so happy for you & Craig. Hopefully, your recovery will go well & you can get on with the business of being a lady of leisure.
And, may I say, we… all of us… we live in an amazing time. We live in a time where we can get body scans and targeted chemo and minimally invasive surgery. We live in a time where complete strangers called doctors and nurses and researchers and scientists and administrators and advocates go to such lengths to give us such hope and more time with the ones we love.
