Cloud Nine had her 1st launch for 2012 on Friday. The launch went smoothly and we enjoyed cruising beautiful Lake George for several days. Felt TERRIFIC to be back on the water. Barb was a huge help to us and we had a good time. The photos will tell the story better than I ever could!
Chemo #5 is on tap for today.
(hours later)
Just back from Chemo #5. Almost didn’t get it because the my Neutrophil % was so low – lowest it has been so far. On the other hand, I was feeling great. After much thought my Oncologist decided to go ahead with the chemo treatment and also start me on an antibiotic to help prevent me from catching ‘something’. Neutrophils do something with white blood cells which are your immune system. For those of you praying for me – please mention Neutrophils. There is the hope that they will ‘pop back’ as they did after my time at Smuggler’s Notch.
And for those of you keeping count (!)
14 down, 4 to go!
Hi, Tammi,
Glad you got the boat launched. I’ve always believed that being on or even near the water is healing. Haven’t been out in my kayak this year, but hope to be out before too long.
Will add those little neutrophils to my list.
Love your positive attitude!
Anita
Thank you, Anita!
Great pictures. Sounds like the friendship was made even stronger ! I had a good time at my conference and with my Canadian friend. Now back to the grind, and more dental work !Soon the chemo will be over and you will be off again.Hope that we will see you before.Love you lots, Tony and Ginny
Dental work, uck. I may prefer chemo.
So, what’cha doing this weekend? I’d like to see your beach!
Glad to hear you went out boating again, you must have had a good time!! So glad for you. Hope you can finish off your chemo treatments as planned and can go back to “normal” life. The weather looks good on the pictures, hope you’ll have a good summer. Here, we had a real cold spring and also today it rained all day long and the temperature was only 55 F (in June….!!). Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to sit outside after work or during the weekend.
Take care of yourself Tam!
